Chevie’s Lounge and Big O Productions Announce Inaugural "Monroe Street Spotlight" Talent Search Contest in Herrin, IL
HERRIN, IL — Chevie’s Lounge, in partnership with Big O Productions Events Management, is excited to announce the first annual Monroe Street Spotlight Talent Search Contest, kicking off on Tuesday, October 13, at 913 W Monroe St, Herrin, Illinois.
This multi-week showcase invites singers, songwriters, instrumentalists, and performers of all skill levels from across Southern Illinois, Southeastern Missouri, and Western Kentucky to take the stage.
Event Details & Schedule
- Location: Chevie's Lounge, 913 W Monroe St, Herrin, IL
- Launch Date: Tuesday, October 13
- Registration: On-site registration opens weekly at 6:00 PM; performances start at 7:00 PM. Pre-register online at www.bigosuccess.com.
- Schedule: Competitions run every Tuesday night for four consecutive weeks, culminating in a Grand Finale on the fifth week (November 10).
How It Works
Participation is completely voluntary, and performers can either play solo or bring their own setup. Backline equipment—including a drum set, guitar amplifiers, and a full PA system—will be provided on-site. Audience members and attendees will participate in selecting each week’s winners.
Prizes & Grand Finale
Each week, the top three performers (1st, 2nd, and 3rd place) will secure a spot in the Grand Finale on week five, bringing together a total of 12 finalists. Weekly winners will receive prizes including gift certificates, sponsor merchandise, and swag.
The Grand Finale winner will take home a $250 cash prize along with a Schecter PT guitar in flat black with the Monster logo. Additional giveaways, drink specials, and event features will run throughout the entire five-week series.
